Our Story

As a small family business, we are grateful for each of our customers, and love getting to connect with you! We would love to share a little about our story, and also look forward to learning more about what brings you joy.

We share life together as a family in Portugal, where the mountains meet the sea, with our sweet Border Collie and beloved Newfie. We are grateful to share our days learning and growing alongside our two precious daughters. They undoubtedly have shaped and guided our family’s path in ways that we could not have fully imagined when they were first born. Through life’s journey, we have grown to value creating a life together that is rooted in connection, with slower, simpler daily rhythms.

When our daughters were little, lighting a candle became a family ritual to help nurture in us a practice of slowing down to pause, deepening a sense of gratitude, wonder and awe. Candles became woven into our daily rhythms, as well as our seasonal traditions as the wheel of the year circled round the sun.

With an affinity for candles, an ever deepening desire to live more sustainably as a family, and a love for learning alongside each other, our dream of creating a sustainable candle collection was born.

We wanted to create something that invites connection and nourishes relationships.

Each candle is carefully crafted and lovingly poured by our family for you in small batches. Every order that we receive fills our hearts with immense gratitude to be able to share life together as a family, creating artisan candles that bring you joy!

“When I sense what connection feels like, I’m filled with a soft, warm, expansive glow. An internal sense of connection that kindles and brings comfort no matter how far the distance, nor how much time fills the space between. It offers me the gift of holding both gratitude and grief- reminding me that I can hold both the present moment, the past, as well as what is yet to come. The sacred act of lighting a candle, is symbolic for me, to keep the candle burning, of liberation for all.”
